Adding images to Drupal 6.x blog with Windows Live Writer

I posted yesterday about using Windows Live writer with Drupal. I was able to make that work but then I did struggle getting images to show up. I won over the struggle eventually and the blog post has images now. I did a lot of search but did not get a convincing answer anywhere so thought of this post.

For anyone else that has difficulty figuring out what to do, here are the steps:

• In Live writer, go to Web Blog -> Web Blog Settings and click on the Images link.
• Check the option "Upload images to a FTP server". You can use Live Writer help if you need more help with this

After this is setup, there is a chance your images may not show up still when you publish your post. If that happens try the steps below:

• In Drupal 6.x, go to Administer-> Site Configuration -> Input formats and chose Full Html as the option. Refer screen shot below

You should be set now :)
